Live Music Featuring Singer & Songwriter Kyle Davis!
Kyle Davis began recording in his early 20s, spawning a string of albums — Kyle Davis, Waiting For You, Raising Heroes, Don’t Tell the World, and River City Gang — that effectively expressed a keen sense of melody, infectious energy and hooks that sank in quickly and refused to let go. Single “Buried Alive,” released by Sony Records, became both a fan favorite and critical sensation. Billboard magazine called him “One of the best unsigned artists and featured him on the cover.” Rolling Stone gave Raising Heroes four stars. Although he’s been described as a cross between Jackson Browne, David Gray, Peter Gabriel and Mat Kearney, he remained his own man, a singular talent with an extraordinary gift for conveying sentiments that are impossible to deny and even more difficult to resist.

Our story: from a concept to a “major community event”
Fourteen years ago, the Kiwanis Club of Hopewell was looking for a fund-raiser to increase our philanthropic support to the youth of the Hopewell/Prince George community. Out of nowhere, one of our members suggested the idea of a “Wine Festival” in Hopewell. Although there was doubt that such an event was possible, four members took off driving the roads of Virginia to find vineyards and wineries who believed in us and desired to both support the youth of our area and expand their brand footprint.
From that small start to now, our attendance has zoomed from a few hundred attendees to 1,000. During the past twelve years, we provided over $55,000 in awarded scholarships thanks to our loyal business sponsors and dedicated patrons. During this time our event appealed to both seasoned wine drinkers and casual wine drinkers alike, in a relaxed and fun environment. We are sincerely grateful for your past patronage and hope you will join us on November 22nd for another afternoon with six of the finest vineyards and wineries in Virginia.
